Description
While I was at Gilbert Field in Winter Haven, Florida trying out my new Nikon camera I created this image of Preston Aviation's Boeing Stearman airplane being refueled. The Stearman was best known as a primary flight trainer before and during WWII. It is and was commonly known as the Kaydet or Yellow Peril during that time period. After WWII thousands were sold and used as crop dusters by adding a tank and pumps in the second cockpit. It is a rugged and stable aircraft even by today's standard. It is a great aircraft to see still in service.
