I stopped off at Winter Haven, Florida's South Lake Howard Water Reclamation Park on October 15, 2013 and captured this image of a small (3 foot) American Alligator just floating in the water. The sun was working just right for me to capture some of the details under the water and capture some eyeball reflection at the same time.

I am a Wildlife photographer whose medium is digital photography. As a photographer, my primary focus is wildlife photography wherever I can find it. Wildlife has an amazing capacity to show up or exist nearly anywhere, be it city or country. Nature has provided animals with an almost unbelievable ability to adapt and exist with whatever changes man makes in their environment. Of course nature itself can change at least temporarily the environment and still the animals adapt and survive in the new conditions. Currently all of my photography is conducted in the central Florida area. I have a strong, lifelong interest in nature and wildlife as well as the occasional domestic animal.
