Description
I captured this macro photograph of a Sulphur Yellow Butterfly in the late summer of 2013 at a local nature park called the Circle B Bar Reserve. For a switch this butterfly was not fluttering all over the place on the Heron Hideout trail and allowed me to crawl up to it to get this picture. The dark area you see in the picture is the shadow from the lens of my GE X-2600 camera.

Thank you for the kind words. It was very lucky that it let me get that close, the dark area below it is the shadow from my camera lens.

Nice shot, really like the sharpness on the wings compared to the washed out ground

Thank you for your kind comment. I think that what helped is that the sun was pretty much straight overhead.
