I created this wildlife photo of a Baby Sandhill Crane at the Circle B
Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida during early March of 2018. This baby Sandhill Crane appeared to be only a few days old and had a fine coat of very shiny hair as opposed to feathers. The parent Sandhill Cranes were very attentive and close by to protect this fuzzy little bird. Until they reach adulthood they may also be known as Sandhill Crane Colts.

I am a Wildlife photographer whose medium is digital photography. As a photographer, my primary focus is wildlife photography wherever I can find it. Wildlife has an amazing capacity to show up or exist nearly anywhere, be it city or country. Nature has provided animals with an almost unbelievable ability to adapt and exist with whatever changes man makes in their environment. Of course nature itself can change at least temporarily the environment and still the animals adapt and survive in the new conditions.
